Software Engineer
Our Information Technology Division is looking to recruit a Software Engineer for their Software Development Department.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain business applications with a focus on accounting
- Assist in projects as a software engineer
- Analyse, design and implement software utilising methods and tools for software development employed at the Hannover Re / E+S Rück
Specifications:
- Successful candidates will have earned a university degree in Business Informatics or Business Economics with a concentration in Informatics
- Well versed in object-oriented software development using Microsoft.Net and Java (J2EE), respectively
- Profound knowledge of the Oracle Database Management System (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Be acquainted with methods of object-oriented software development (UML)
- Strong accounting skills
- Insurance or reinsurance experience advantageous
- Basic knowledge of SAP-FI
- Strong English language skills
- Act in a client-oriented manner when cooperating with users, coworkers from the IT Division and other project participants during software development
- Willing to continue one’s vocational education and training
- Be prepared to always be innovative as regards workflow and tools used
