General information concerning Hannover Re's online presenceHannover Re's total online presence consists of the present Corporate Website (available in English and German) as well as the normally English-language websites of the individual business groups non-life reinsurance and life and health reinsurance. All individual websites are directly accessible via the selection box (Group Websites) in the highlight column on the homepage. The site identifier of the individual websites is located at the top middle of the page between the logo and the service navigation. You can always tell from the combination of the logo and the site identifier which website you are currently visiting. The dark blue area of the highlight column provides links to descriptions of our two business groups on the Corporate Website, which in turn include further links to the individual websites. The colour scheme of the arrows reflects the special accent colours used to differentiate the stand-alone websites from one another. The corresponding colours are used for the containers to the right of the content area. DisclaimerLegal information can be accessed by clicking the "disclaimer" link on the right side of the blue bar at the bottom of every page. Page typesWe differentiate between four basic page types: A Homepage consists of a visual with the "somewhat different" claim, the content area, the dark-coloured highlight column and the container column. The elements may be positioned differently in the individual websites. An Overview Page introduces more complex contents of the individual main navigation items. The sub-navigation is displayed on the left side of this page. The overview page also contains not only a content area but also a highlight column with a small visual. The container column provides access – via at most three containers – to more in-depth or topically related information. A Content Page is composed of the sub-navigation on the left, the content in the middle and the container column on the right. A Broad Page displays large graphics or complex tables. There is no container column, but the sub-navigation on the left is retained. Page layoutWe provide this chapter on a separate page:
